My name is Lindsey LeCroy, and I currently teach 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies at American Academy. I am currently in my eleventh year of teaching. Before Morocco, I taught in the United States, Albania, and Turkmenistan. I received my BA in English and education in 2006 from Radford University in Virginia, USA, and I am pursuing my MA in Cultural literacy from Indiana University at Bloomington, USA. Teaching wasn't something I simply fell into pursuing- I knew I would be a teacher since I was a young girl, and I never looked back. I can't imagine doing anything else with my life.
I spend most of my free time reading, writing, taking photos, learning French and working out.
I am a family person, and I spend entirely too much time Skyping, Snapchatting and Gmailing my parents, sister, her husband, my niece, and the dog I left in Virginia with my family, Bailey.
I'm always reading several novels at a time and I love recommendations! My favorite books have been the Sally Lockhart series by Philip Pullman and Miss Peregrine's House series by Ransom Riggs. I've also recently fallen in love with Ismail Kadare, an Albanian author, and Naguib Mahfouz, an Egyptian author.
